Superconductivity in the cuprates
We evaluate numerically several superconducting correlation functions in a generalized t − J model derived for hole-doped CuO2 planes. The model includes a three-site term t similar to that obtained in the large U limit of the Hubbard model but of opposite sign for realistic O-O hopping. For realistic parameters we obtain strong evidence of superconductivity of predominantly dx2−y2 character. T...
متن کاملPressure dependence of superconductivity in doped two-leg ladder cuprates
Within the kinetic energy driven superconducting mechanism, the effect of the pressure on superconductivity in the doped two-leg ladder cuprates is studied. It is shown that the superconducting transition temperature in the doped two-leg ladder cuprate superconductors increases with increasing pressure in the underpressure regime, and reaches a maximum in the optimal pressure, then decreases in...
متن کاملTheory of superconductivity in doped cuprates
Within the t-t-J model, the physical properties of doped cuprates in the superconducting-state are discussed based on the kinetic energy driven superconducting mechanism. We show that the superconducting-state in cuprate superconductors is controlled by both superconducting gap parameter and single particle coherence, and then quantitatively reproduce some main features found in the experiments...
متن کاملSpin-Fluctuation Mechanism of Superconductivity in Cuprates
Normal and superconducting state spectral properties of cuprates are theoretically described within the extended t-J model. The method is based on the equations of motion for projected fermionic operators and the mode-coupling approximation for the self-energy matrix. The dynamical spin susceptibility at various doping is considered as an input, extracted from experiments. The analysis shows th...
متن کاملQuantum-critical superconductivity in underdoped cuprates
– We argue that the pseudogap phase may be an attribute of the non-BCS pairing of quantum-critical, diffusive fermions near the antiferromagnetic quantum critical point. We derive and solve a set of three coupled Eliashberg-type equations for spin-mediated pairing and show that in some T range below the pairing instability, there is no feedback from superconductivity on fermionic excitations, a...
